tools
If you don't have a man around to help with the mechanical side of looking after your prams, or restoring them, then buy yourself a basic set of tools. Halfords usually have a selection of toolboxes which start from around £20. I bought one which has various sizes of spanners, socket sets, screwdrivers and pliers and other tools, it cost around £40 on special offer and is in a metal toolbox with a carrying handle so easy to carry, although it is quite heavy. The spanners etc are in metric and imperial sizes which makes it ideal for working with older prams. I had not done much diy work previously, but have been pleasantly surprised how easy it has been to dismantle and reassemble pram parts simply by having the proper tools available. And having my own toolbox means I don't have to ask anyone else to help or have to wait for anyone to do the jobs for me!
